Q: My candle will not stay lit and melting only around the center. What causes that?
A: This could be one of two reasons. 

1. The candle wick is too small for the vessel
2. It tunneled. 

It it very unlikely that your wick is too small for the vessel because we have tested your candles over and over again and uses the same wick and vessel for all candles. The most likely in this case is tunneling, don't worry this can happen to any candle even the biggest brands. 
This takes us back to the first burn, unfortunately candles have a memory and if the first burn is not done properly, it memorizes the error and your candle will tunnel. (If this happens, you can melt your container candle on a **candle warmer or scoop your wax out and melt it on a wax melt warmer)

Q: Why does my candle have wet spots on top?
A: This is called sweating. Your candle can sweat for one of three reasons. 

1. Due to excess oil used in the mixture during production
2. The candle experienced a temperature change
3. Exposure to heat or humidity. This is most likely, your candles are made from natural Coconut and Soy wax. These waxes are naturally oily

Q: How do I calculate burn time for my candles?
A: The wax blend we use will allow 5-6 hours per ounce. Therefore, an 8 oz. candle would be 40-48 hours burn time.

Before using your new Jolis Reine Candle Co. Luxury Candle here are a few tips and tricks to get your money's worth.

Your first burn needs to be at least two hours until the entire surface is turned to liquid wax this will ensure you get a level burn for the life of the candle.

Before you light your new candle, always trim the wick to ¼ inch and remove any debris left in the wax pool such as wick trimmings.

Never burn your candle for more than 3 - 4 hours at a time. Burning a candle for too long will cause carbon to collect on the wick, leading it to “mushroom.” The wick will then become unstable and produce a dangerously large flame. Plus, your candle will start to smoke and release soot.

Keep the flame away from moving air. Moving air can disturb the flame, resulting in those pesky black marks on the glass.

Always burn the candle on a stable, heat resistant surface. This can help prevent heat damage to underlying surfaces and prevent glass containers from breaking. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
